The Root

The Root is an independent, locally owned coffee shop in downtown Nebraska City, opened in September 2026. Sip. Study. Relax. Freshly brewed, locally grounded, and serving what we think is the best coffee in Tree City USA. Try one of our signature selections, including lattes, chai and matcha lattes, cold brew, drip coffee, tea, smoothies and apple cider, or grab a coffee airpot for your group. Whether you need the whole shop or just the private meeting room, The Root is an easy place to throw a meeting, a birthday, or a bridal shower.
