Nebraska loves its fall festivals. Many communities host their own Oktoberfest, and if you’re in the mood for something spooky, hit up events like Ponca State Park’s HallowFest.

If you’re in the mood for shopping, Junkstock, Trail of Treasures and Junk Jaunt are all annual markets for vintage and handcrafted goods and quirky finds.

If you’re a sports fan, a Nebraska Cornhuskers football game should be on your itinerary. Pay a visit to Memorial Stadium, which has sold out every game since 1962, to join one of college sports’ most passionate fan bases and enjoy the one-of-a-kind atmosphere of game day.

Harvest time is a fun time in Nebraska! Take a visit to a pumpkin patch to pick out your prize, plus explore a corn maze, load up on fall treats and take a hayride. Vala’s, Fanny’s and Roca Berry Farm are among the favorites in the state. More of an apple person? Hit an orchard for all your apple goodies. Nebraska City is home to Arbor Day Farm and Kimmel Orchard, both of which should be on your list. Apple aficionados shouldn’t miss the town’s AppleJack Festival in September.
